About the event
‘A Summers Dream’ will be held within the grounds of Asthall Manor, a gorgeous Jacobean Manor house steeped in history, where the current owners have envisioned and cultivated a home where art, nature, and sustainability co-exist in seamless harmony with the area of outstanding natural beauty.
This lying concert is not only an artistic creation but a 'concert' in the holistic sense - a coming into harmony with all.
“There is the music of heaven in all things’
Hildegard Von Bingen
What to expect
During the 90mins sound healing and lying down concert experience you’ll be rejuvenated mentally, emotionally and spiritually inspired and gently restored by mother nature.
Your experience will begin with a guided relaxation and deep listening to the sensations and the soundscape - bird song, trees, water flowing, gentle warm winds.
Christina will guide you through Tibetan sound bowl healing, a practise based on the Buddhist principle that everything in the universe, including the human body, is in a state of vibration. When your vibration is out of balance—due to stress, illness, or emotional challenge —sound healing can help restore harmony. Equally nature itself supports the body to restore and recover.
In a deeply relaxed state, harpist Cecelia de Maria will lead you into a deep summers reverie as she plays harp music including composers inspired by Nature such as Debussy, Philip Glass, Einaudi and more.
You'll lie down on soft mattresses, cushions and blankets - all provided for your comfort.
Take in the gardens and enjoy a gentle stroll after the Lie Down and Listen experience.
